Ashley Rader PT, DPT, COMT, CMTPT-DN

Dr. Ashley Rader is a licensed Physical Therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University. A proud Penn State alum and passionate sports fan, she remains an active member of the PSU Alumni Association.

Dr. Rader is certified in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) and Myofascial Trigger Point Dry Needling (CMTPT-DN). Her treatment approach is hands-on and highly individualized, with a strong emphasis on manual therapy and thorough assessments. She specializes in managing chronic pain, acute orthopedic and work-related injuries, and complex multi-system conditions—particularly in cases where traditional PT has been less effective.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Rader is committed to providing inclusive care and offers evaluations and treatment sessions in Spanish. She also serves as a clinical instructor, mentoring physical therapy students from programs across the country.

Driven by a belief in one-on-one, patient-centered care, Dr. Rader designs customized, evidence-based treatment plans focused on achieving noticeable progress from the very first visit. Her passion lies in identifying the root cause of dysfunction and guiding her patients toward meaningful, lasting outcomes.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Rader enjoys an active lifestyle rooted in her athletic background. She grew up playing soccer, basketball, tennis, softball, and golf—including high school and club-level soccer in college. She also has a lifelong love of music and still plays the piano. These days, you’ll find her kickboxing, dancing salsa, hiking with her American Staffordshire, Panda, and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State teams. She especially enjoys spending quality time with her husband and her two stepchildren, Hanna and Jacob.
