Laura Reising, PT, DPT, MS

Physical Therapist

She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Columbia University of New York in 2013.
Laura graduated with a BFA in Dance Performance at Towson University and a Masters in
Dance Science from the University of Oregon. She completed a comprehensive, year-long
manual-based Orthopaedic Residency program through Evidence in Motion in 2015. After
numerous dance injuries and undergoing vestibular rehab as a patient, Laura developed a
strong passion for physical therapy. Before becoming a physical therapist, Laura was very
active in the dance community in NYC as a dancer, archivist and administrator.
Laura’s treatment philosophy is meeting every patient where they are at and supporting the
whole individual in their health and wellness journey. Her expertise is in supporting individuals
with chronic pain, post-operative care, hypermobility, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, headaches,
dysautonomia, performing artists and athletes. She has worked with dancers and performing
artists at The Washington Ballet, Suzanne Farrell, School of American Ballet, New York City
Ballet, Bodiography and backstage at The Kennedy Center. She has completed the Ehlers
Danlons Society Project ECHO series for Clinicians North America and Allied Health
Professionals North America.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, biking, driving along the
Blue Ride Parkway and exploring the small mountain towns of WNC.
