Dr. Matthew McGowan is a dedicated Physical Therapist with a comprehensive educational background and multiple certifications in related fields. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from SUNY Cortland, where he played for the Men’s Basketball team and served as captain in his senior year. Matthew then pursued a Master’s in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida, followed by a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University.
In addition to his role as a Physical Therapist, Matthew holds certifications as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) and Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). This diverse skill set allows him to provide a holistic approach to patient care, combining expertise in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization.
Matthew is passionate about enhancing patient potential and promoting overall well-being. He strives to create personalized treatment plans that address individual needs and goals, drawing from his extensive knowledge in physical therapy, athletic training, and strength conditioning.
When not helping patients, Matthew enjoys an active lifestyle that includes strength training and mountain biking. He also loves watching sports, attending concerts, cooking, and spending quality time with friends and family.
