Sarah Kovalchick, PT, DPT

Dr. Sarah Kovalchick is a physical therapist who earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore in 2023.

Sarah recently moved to the area from Frederick, Maryland where she was born and raised. Sarah grew up playing  club soccer, and went on to play NCAA Division 1 collegiate soccer at the University of Maryland, College Park. Sarah earned her B.S in Kinesiology from UMD, and during her undergraduate career she sought out professional experiences within collegiate sports medicine, collegiate sport strength and conditioning, military physical therapy, and outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.Through her athletic and professional experiences, Sarah fostered a passion for physical therapy and assisting patients in returning to their health and activity goals.

While earning her doctorate, she continued to gain valuable clinical experience within the areas of sports physical therapy and orthopedic physical therapy. Post-graduation, Sarah began her career in outpatient orthopedics, working with a diverse patient population and a wide variety of orthopedic diagnoses. Most recently, she spent time working alongside a women’s professional tennis player, traveling internationally on the WTA tour. Sarah loves to get to know her patients and work to pursue unique ways to help patients reach their individual health and wellness goals within both the physical and mental aspects of healing. 

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys hiking, playing soccer, and spending time with her fiancé and dog.
