Taylor Johnson PT, DPT

Dr. Taylor Johnson is born and raised right here in Central Virginia. She did not stray too far

when it came to her education. She traveled East to the Virginia Beach region to graduate from

Virginia Wesleyan College in 2012 where she earned her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. She,

then, traveled West to the mountains to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from

Lynchburg College in 2017.

Since 2019, Taylor has been a certified through Herman and Wallace to treat as a pelvic floor

physical therapist and finds to have a deep dedication and passion to helping those in need of

assistance with their pelvic floor dysfunction. She understands that conditions involving the

pelvic floor region can be frightening and embarrassing but she is focused in creating a calm

and open environment for her patients. Taylor is also certified in synergistic dry needling

intervention.

For roughly a year, Taylor had to step away from outpatient PT setting from 2024-2025 and

practiced PT in the home health setting. Home health allowed for greater schedule flexibility

due to needing to be more present for her family. Her family includes husband (Rob), daughter

(Bellamy), son (Colt), and loyal fur son named Ozzy. In 2023 Colt was born with exposure to a

rare virus called Cytomegalovirus (CMV) that has permanently affected his hearing. Colt wears

hearing aids in both ears and is thriving steadily. Therefore, Taylor was eager to return to her

true professional passion which includes pelvic floor physical therapy. And because Taylor

cannot work all the time, in her spare time she enjoys simple time with her family both

immediate and extended families. Ideally, Taylor loves to travel however due to her season of

having a young family, she loves entertaining what local festivities Richmond has to offer.
